Section 1. Programming Foundations with JavaScript, HTML and CSS

You’ll learn how to navigate the SketchUp interface, ensuring you can efficiently access and utilize its various tools and features. We’ll delve into understanding units and precision, teaching you how to set and switch between different measurement units for accurate and consistent designs. Additionally, you’ll discover customization and preferences, allowing you to personalize your workspace and streamline your workflow. Practical exercises and projects will reinforce your learning, providing hands-on experience to solidify your skills.

It covers basic navigation tools, camera settings and views, sections and planes and how to use all this in the sketchup interface along with the shortcut keys for each action.

This chapter covers how to use various different tools in the sketchup interface including how to select objects using selection tools, how to apply paint bucket to materials, eraser, line, freehand, rectangle, circle , polygon etc

Architecture Tool - Revit

We will start this subject with an introduction to Revit, getting acquainted with its user interface and basic features. Next, we’ll look at project units and how to manage and set them up for accurate measurements in your projects. We’ll then explore the idea of levels and how to plan and arrange them to create the framework for your building design. Lastly, we’ll work our way through Revit’s 3D interface, becoming adept at seeing and utilising your models in three dimensions.

In this module, we will embark on an exploration of essential components in Revit, delving into various techniques to create dynamic architectural elements. From extrusion to blend, revolve, sweep, and swept blend, you’ll gain comprehensive proficiency in utilizing these tools to craft intricate designs within the Revit environment. Join us as we uncover the versatility of component creation in Revit.

We’ll explore the realm of conceptual massing in Revit in this session, learning about its foundational ideas and practical uses. To improve your designs, try out methods like X-ray, profile addition, and edge incorporation. We’ll also explore the idea of lofting and look at its different forms, such as angular, horizontal, and vertical lofting.

Graphic Designing Tool - Photoshop

To get you started with Photoshop, we will cover a wide range of topics in Lesson One. You will learn how to use selection tools effectively, become comfortable with the Photoshop interface, and import files in an efficient manner. We’ll also dive into advanced techniques such as changing skies, adding humans to your compositions, and utilizing the transformation tool. Additionally, we’ll guide you through customizing your preferences settings to optimize your workflow.

We will examine a wide range of abilities and methods in Lesson Two. You will discover how to precisely alter layers and import PDFs to scale. We’ll go over how to render floor plans in full colour and black and white, introduce the brush tool for fine detail work, and show you how to do a smokey black and white render. You’ll also become an expert at rendering monochrome floor plans and produce realistic floor plans, which will improve your design presentations.

We will explore more sophisticated methods and resources in Lesson Three. You will learn about layer masking and participate in exercises to fully grasp its specifics. We’ll walk you through the process of creating a site plan and show how to use the pen and shape tools. To improve your architectural visualisation abilities, you’ll also learn about smart objects, rendering exploded views from SketchUp or Revit, and converting 2D floor plans to axonometric views.

AutoCad 2D

In this module, we will embark on an introductory journey into AutoCAD, a powerful software tool widely used in the field of design and engineering. We’ll start by familiarizing ourselves with the basics of AutoCAD, understanding its interface and essential functionalities. Additionally, explore the different types of selection methods in AutoCAD, mastering how to efficiently select and manipulate objects within your drawings.

We will introduce you to a comprehensive suite of modifying tools available in AutoCAD, empowering you to refine and perfect your designs with precision and efficiency. Learn how to manipulate and edit objects seamlessly, from basic transformations like move, rotate, and scale, to advanced techniques such as trim, extend, and fillet. Gain hands-on experience in leveraging these modifying tools to enhance the quality and accuracy of your drawings.
